Location is perfect for arriving and leaving Melbs - literally over the road from Southern Cross train station and the airport Skybus terminus. Walking distance to all the delights of town, or tram if you prefer. King room is luxurious with spectacular views, indulgent bathroom and comfy bed. Staying 5-star was a special treat splurge for us middle-class folk; we had a good laugh at the minibar prices, especially the Tasmanian rainwater in a wine bottle. The hotel was very accomodating with a late checkout (3pm!) and luggage storage for our evening flight.

I had an amazing experience dining at Atria for dinner – the food was absolutely delicious, and the views were simply breathtaking! Our room was incredibly spacious, with stunning views, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel's location was fantastic. The gym was really clean, and equipped with high-quality equipment. The pools were equally impressive, offering amazing views. Finally, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, which added to the overall wonderful experience.

If you have more common tastes, the food will not suit you. But, if you enjoy food that is high-end with flavors and ingredients you won't find in your average local it is wonderful. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, and a pleasure to interact with - including the Valet and night staff. One lovely Gentleman on a late night adventure we took, spoke with us about the artwork and features of the hotel which we found fascinating to learn!

The check-in experience was great, and we enjoyed drinks in the lobby bar overlooking Melbourne. Breakfast in the Atria restaurant was outstanding - the spanner crab, and jamon and brie omelet were 5 stars.

I love the view the property provides and the service is exceptional, a special mention to Pawan who really set the mood for my partner and I with lighting and jazz playing in the background. It's an expensive stay, but you're paying for the best and it doesn't disappoint. The modern decor is also worth mentioning, everything about the Ritz-Carlton makes you want to come back.
